The ranking of the most dangerous cities in the world is compiled annually by Business Insider. The list of cities is based on the number of intentional murders per year. Below the list, cities are ordered by the number of murders per 100,000 inhabitants. The list takes into account all cities in the world with a population of over 300 thousand people.
Interestingly enough, according to the statistics, most of the most dangerous cities on the planet are in South and Central America.
The most recent ranking was published in 2018 and reflects the results of 2017.
